PELUM Association
A continental network for a greener Africa.
PELUM Association is a non-profit continental network created in 1995 by civil society leaders from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa. It works to strengthen member organisations so they can promote sustainable agriculture, agroecology and better livelihoods for small-scale farmers and livestock breeders across Africa.
By December 2025, PELUM Association counted 357 continental member organisations across fourteen countries. Its General Secretariat, originally based in Lusaka, operates from Kampala, Uganda. PELUM-RDC has been a member since 29 September 2024.
